PLEASE READ:
THIS DOWNLOAD CENTER OFFERS USERS THE ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD "RAW" DATA FROM THE DIVISION'S
DATABASES. This option is intended
for serious researchers who desire to compile information for large portions
of the state. Full utilization requires an understanding of database file manipulation and the
ability to link/join tables and write queries. Data is updated nightly.
For smaller projects, try

FILE DOWNLOAD
Download each file to a Windows folder where you can locate it again. The files are in
database "dbf" format and are compressed within 'self-extracting' zip (.exe)
files for faster downloading. Double clicking on each downloaded 'exe' file will usually
begin the extraction process. The resulting dbf files can then be opened in a database
program such as Microsoft Access. The smaller files can be opened and viewed in a spreadsheet
program (such as Microsoft Excel), but opening the larger files in a spreadsheet program
will result in data loss (Excel 2007 allows over 1 million rows of data. The production and disposition
data tables contain almost 2 million records). Please read the File Descriptions to
better understand what you are downloading and to find key fields needed for linking tables.
NOTE: Newer versions of Microsoft Access no longer allow the opening of DBF files. We have broken down the production and disposition data
by time periods to create smaller files that can be opened in Microsoft Excel.
