Grants Information for Grantees

The Cooperative Research Program (CoRP) is the central point of contact for processing most of the NESDIS Line Offices (LOs) applications for financial assistance. Applications submitted for funding must address one or more of the NOAA goals/programs.

CoRP manages 3 Cooperative Institutes (CIs), and provides funding support to other NOAA CIs including the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) (OAR-managed) and Cooperative Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center (CREST), a cooperative research partner. Research focus provides mutual benefits to all parties:

  • Important NOAA University/Non-Profit Research Institutions Partnership Program
  • Focal point in facilitating and enhancing scientific research between the federal government, various universities, and non-profit research institutions
  • Research collaborations of scientific research workers nationally and internationally
