Provider Seminars

Denti-Cal offers an extensive training program that has been designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced providers and their staff.

Each of the seminar descriptions below includes a link to the associated training packet. This information is intended to be used in conjunction with the seminar presentation. The information contained in the packets is subject to change after the presentation date. Refer to the Provider Handbook and Bulletin section of this website for current information.

• Basic and EDI Seminars -  Basic seminars address general program purpose, goals, policies and procedures. In addition, the seminars provide instructions for the correct use of standard billing forms and explain the reference materials and support services available to Denti-Cal providers.
  
  The EDI section of the presentation includes an overview of TAR and claim submissions, review and retrieval of reports, EDI label preparation and mailing of TARs and claims and the submission of electronic attachments.
• Basic and EDI Webinar Recording -  Recording of the Basic and EDI Webinar for providers to listen to at their own convenience.
• Advanced Seminars -  Advanced seminars offer in-depth information on topics such as Medi-Cal Identification Cards, dental criteria, x-ray and documentation requirements, processing codes, and other topics of specific concern to Denti-Cal providers.
• Ortho Seminars -  Specialized training seminars have been developed for orthodontists who participate in the Denti-Cal Orthodontic Services Program. These seminars cover all aspects of the Denti-Cal orthodontic program, including enrollment and certification, completion of billing forms, billing procedures and criteria and policies specific to Denti-Cal orthodontic services.
• Workshops -  Workshops provide the inexperienced billing staff a hands-on opportunity to learn about the Medi-Cal Dental Program.
