EEO Programs - Overview

Artistic image of the scales of balanceThe total civilian MEDCOM population (approximately 40,000) is dispersed throughout CONUS and OCONUS (MEDCOM Major Subordinate Commands external link (opens in new browser window)). In order for us, as a Direct Reporting Unit (DRU), to be able to assure that our MEDCOM commanders are provided appropriate EEO services, we are responsible for assuring implementation of a comprehensive EEO Program throughout the command that includes:  implementation of the affirmative employment program IAW the EEO Commission (EEOC) Management Directive (MD) 715, the EEO Complaints Processing System, the Special Emphasis Programs (American Indian/Alaskan Native Employment Program, Asian American/Pacific Islander Employment Program, Black Employment Program, Federal Women’s Program, Hispanic Employment Program, and the Program for Individuals with Disabilities), EEO training (Prevention of Sexual Harassment and No FEAR Act training), EEO Program monitoring and evaluation, staff advisory services, EEO Career Program management, community outreach, and support for the Department of Defense Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) for College Students with Disabilities.
