Sherdeill H. Breathett, Sr. serves as associate Pastor and Director of Pastoral Care at Saint Mark UMC, Wichita. He also doubles as the economic developer and foreign Trade Zone #161 Grantee Administrator for Sedgwick County, Kansas.
A University of Oklahoma 1982 graduate, Sherdeill holds an AA from Northeast Oklahoma A&M Junior College at Miami, Oklahoma, and a BA in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma at Norman, Oklahoma. He also possesses a Mini MPA from the WSU certificate Program.
Sherdeill has several years of administrative experience including fifteen years as a professional economic developer establishing foreign trade general purpose zones and modifying major and minor boundaries and sub-zones. He’s a member of the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones (NAFTZ). He is also a certified Business Retention Professional and a member of the International Economic Development Coalition (IEDC).
Recently nominated as one of thirty-two local “Heroes”, he has made numerous professional appearances. Sherdeill was a three year participant in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Summer Football Camp and a keynote speaker at several events in the Midwest and abroad. He and wife, Genise have co-facilitated Healthy Marriage Initiatives at Newman University.

Originally from Illinois, The Wichita community has been his home the past 25 years. He and his wife Genise have been married for over thirty years and the two have five adult children and seven grandchildren.
