FRESC Research - Aquatic & Semi-Aquatic

Streams, rivers, lakes, and wetlands support a rich array of species that depend on flooded or moist environments for all or part of their life cycles. Although defined by the persistence of water, these systems are physically and biologically connected to terrestrial ecosystems and are found in all types of landscapes. FRESC scientists study aquatic and semi-aquatic habitats at small and large scales, life histories of fish and amphibians, sensitive species, conservation, and threats that include invasive species, climate change, disease, and contaminants.
