The Partnership works collaboratively with all levels of government, tribes, businesses and citizen groups in its charge to lead and coordinate efforts to protect and restore Puget Sound. Our goal is to make Puget Sound healthy again, and create a roadmap for how to get it done. To achieve this goal, we mobilize funding to support both human capacity and the development and implementation of high-priority salmon recovery capital projects on an annual basis.

Puget Sound Acquisition and Restoration (PSAR) Fund

The Puget Sound Acquisition and Restoration (PSAR) fund was established through the Governor’s Office and Washington State Legislature in 2007, to support the implementation of high-priority salmon habitat restoration and protection projects. In coordination with the Recreation and Conservation Office, local partners, and the Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Council, the Partnership mobilizes support for PSAR requests in each Washington State biennial. Pacific Coast Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF)

The Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF) was established by Congress in 2000 to reverse the declines of Pacific salmon and steelhead, supporting conservation efforts in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Through the Washington Salmon Recovery Funding Board and in coordination with the Recreation and Conservation Office, the Partnership works with salmon recovery Lead Entities to identify and prioritize the highest priority projects to receive PCSRF funds in Puget Sound every year. LEARN MORE
