DUTIES:

-The Budget Analyst is responsible for a wide range of matters dealing with the financial analyses for the Inter-American Foundation (IAF), including maintaining the integrity of all accounting and financial operations that are outsourced to the Bureau of Public Debt (BPD). Some of the other duties include but not limited to: 
-Provide the formulation, justification, and execution of the IAF’s annual budget presentation to OMB and Congress. 
-Advises management and employees in budget administration applying in-depth knowledge to include laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques. 
-Develop budget plans, analyze obligations and expenditures, and validate allocations in support of the IAF programs. 
-Prepare canned and tailored reports using various accounting and financial methods to meet and forecast the needs of management and identifies trends and cost drivers in grant cost years. 
-Conduct assessments and audits to ensure the most effective use of financial resources within prescribed limits. 
-Manages information systems to monitor annual program and program support expenditures. 
-Train and/or coordinate training and guide personnel on process and quality procedures.
