The IAF carries out its mission in coordination with various governmental organizations promoting social and economic development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its broad network of civil society organization and expertise in development and local contexts allow the IAF to complement broad government assistance efforts.
Inter-American Social Protection Network
The IASPN, is an initiative of the Organization of American States that brings together national social development ministries and agencies with non-governmental organizations, private sector and academia, to promote the exchange and transfer of experiences and knowledge on social protection.
In 2010, the IAF joined with the U.S. State Department to support the IASPN's efforts to improve social protection systems in Paraguay in collaboration with the Chilean government foreign aid agency (AGCI), assisting with a computerized database, development of training materials and workshops.
