Over the last few years, the IAF has been returning to the site of projects for which funding ended about five years earlier to meet with our former grantee partners and assess what has happened since. Based on these visits and a review of all previously collected data, the IAF’s evaluation office prepares in-depth reports and the executive summaries shared on this site.

Asociación Consejo de Mujeres Mayas de Desarrollo Integral (CMM) used its 2001 grant to train health workers, midwives and pharmacy managers in nine indigenous Guatemalan communities.

Patronato para Desarrollo de las Comunidades de Morazán y San Miguel
(PADECOMSM) used its 1998 grant to organize local a
ssociations, businesses and municipal services in the Salvadoran municipalities of Torola, Rosario and Jocoaitique.

Grupo de Asesoramiento Multidisciplinario en Medio Ambiente y Agroecología (GAMMA) in 1998 received IAF funding to address drought in the Bolivian altiplano by constructing water holes and recovering pasturelands. 

Fundação Bento Rubião (FBR) received funding in 2001 to address the issue of housing in Rio de Janeiro's favelas, to provide legal assistance with land tenure and to influence official housing policy.

Ayllus Originarios de Quila Quila (Quila Quila) received a grant in 1998 to build lodgings, a restaurant, and a thermal bath area catering to visitors to the world’s largest concentration of dinosaur tracks, located in the outskirts of Sucre, Bolivia.

Centro de Estudio para la Promoción del Desarrollo (PRODES) received a grant in 1999 to provide training, technical assistance and loans to form small businesses in Portobello, Panama. Fundación Cooperación y Acción Comunitaria (CACMU) used its 2001 grant to provide loans to low-income women in Ibarra and Otavalo, Ecuador.
