The final investment decision authorizes an investment program to enter solution implementation, approves key program planning documents, and commits the agency to funding as specified in the acquisition program baseline.

- Approves adjustments to FAA plans and budgets
Who Does It
Service organization or program office presents the results of final investment analysis.
JRC Secretariat manages the JRC decision-making process.
Who Approves
Joint Resources Council makes the final investment decision.
Note:The JRC may reject the recommendation of the service or program office and return the initiative for additional work or termination.
