OFHEO Laws and Regulations

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) was established as an independent entity within the Department of Housing and Urban Development by the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 (12 U.S.C. 4501 et seq.) 

OFHEO regulations encompassing capital standards and limitations on the assets, activities, and risk exposures of the two housing government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) are codified in 12 CFR CHAPTER XVII.

FHFB's Laws and Regulations

The law that establishes the Federal Housing Finance Board and the Federal Home Loan Banks and prescribes their powers and duties is the Federal Home Loan Bank Act.
