Conservator's Report
FHFA releases a quarterly Conservator's Report on the Enterprises' Financial Condition, which provides an overview of key aspects of the financial condition of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac during conservatorship. The report is released on a quarterly basis, following the filing of the Enterprises' financial results with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  The data in the report are derived primarily from the Enterprises’ SEC filings and other publicly available sources.

FHFA Conservator's Reports

The report includes information on:

  • Enterprise presence in the mortgage market;
  • Credit quality of Enterprise mortgage purchases;
  • Sources of Enterprise losses and capital reductions; and
  • Enterprise loss mitigation activity.

The report was created to enhance public understanding of the Enterprises' financial performance before and during conservatorship.
