OFHEO FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT IMPROVEMENT PLAN

In December 2005, the President issued Executive Order 13392, which is intended to improve agency disclosure of information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).  The Executive Order required agencies to review FOIA operations and, based on that review, to develop a FOIA improvement plan that will make the processing of FOIA requests more streamlined and effective and increase public awareness of FOIA processing.  OFHEO completed its review and developed a FOIA Improvement Plan for fiscal years 2006 and 2007.  You can view OFHEO's FOIA Improvement Plan, by clicking here.
