The South Carolina Army National Guard Garrison Command supports readiness by providing a wide range of services and infrastructure to tenant activities, and transient units and organizations. This includes maintaining facilities, training areas and live fire ranges across the state of South Carolina to enable effective training in a safe and sustainable environment.
The mission of the Garrison Command is to provide tough, realistic combined arms training in a variety of venues across the full spectrum of conflict to assist and enable commanders in developing trained, competent leaders and Soldiers to enhance the force and ensure success in the operational environment of today, as well as for the battlefield of the future.
We accomplish our mission by providing:
- World class maneuver training areas for mounted and dismounted training from the squad level to brigade-sized units
- Ranges for individual and crew served weapons
- State-of-the-Art Battle Simulations for training staff, units and individual Soldiers in realistic combat situations
- Facilities for housing, mess, classrooms, administration and logistical operations
