Request South Carolina National Guard Volunteer Support
Event organizers should be aware that volunteer requests are subject to a number of restrictions and are supported only where they do not impact operational mission accomplishment.
Anyone requesting National Guard Volunteer Support must submit a submit a DD Form 2536 to:

Please note: Requests should be submitted 60-90 days prior to the event. Fewer than 60 days notice greatly reduces the chance that National Guard support will be available. Requests received 30 days or closer to the event will NOT be considered.
The requesting organization must be a broadly based civic organization or an organization whose primary purpose is to stimulate patriotism, promote public understanding of the necessity of national security, or foster public appreciation of our national heritage, and not promote the organizations private objectives. The event must not charge an admission fee.
National Guard participation that supports commercial advertising, publicity, promotional activities, or events so as to benefit or favor commercial ventures or fundraising is prohibited. Use of National Guard personnel as ushers, guards, parking lot attendants, messengers or any other menial task is prohibited. Use of National Guard personnel will not compete with the civilian labor force, or deny employment opportunities to civilians in their regular profession.
